CNN's Wolf Blitzer Hosts As ADL Honors Mark A. Weinberger Global Chairman And CEO-Elect, Ernst & Young With 2012 ADL Achievement Award
WASHINGTON, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) will present Mark A. Weinberger, Global Chairman and CEO-Elect of Ernst & Young, with its prestigious Achievement Award, at a tribute dinner in his honor at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on December 1st. The Award recognizes leaders who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the ideals of the Anti-Defamation League—justice, pluralism, and understanding. CNN's Lead Political Anchor and Anchor of The Situation Room, Wolf Blitzer, will host the event as the Master of Ceremonies.

Prior to his appointment as the incoming Global Chairman and CEO-elect of Ernst & Young, Weinberger was the Global Vice Chairman—Tax of the organization. Previously, Weinberger served as the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (Tax Policy) in the George W. Bush Administration. He was also appointed by President Clinton to serve on the Social Security Advisory Board, which advises the President and Congress on all aspects of the Social Security system. Throughout his career, Weinberger has been a respected leader on tax policy. He has held a variety of notable positions in both the private and public sectors including Chief of Staff of the President's 1994 Bipartisan Commission on Entitlement and Tax Reform, and Chief Tax and Budget Counsel to Senator John C. Danforth.
