CNN Money Calls Anytime Fitness a "Great Franchise Bet"
Only 10 Franchises Earn the Accolade
HASTINGS, Minn., June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CNN Money has listed Anytime Fitness, the world's largest and fastest-growing co-ed fitness club chain, as one of "10 Great Franchise Bets." The listing, which was posted on CNNMoney.com, noted Anytime Fitness' rapid growth rate (nearly 1,600 clubs opened in less than 10 years) and the low loan failure rate amongst its franchisees. Of 147 SBA-backed loans between 2005 and 2010, there were just four defaults, CNN reported.
"The success of any franchise is largely dependent upon the prosperity of its individual franchisees," said Dave Mortensen, President and Co-founder of Anytime Fitness. "That's why we focus so much on providing our franchisees with the tools and the support they need to be successful."
"We work closely with our club owners to ensure that expense expectations and proper capitalization are in place well in advance of club openings," said Tim Smith, Director of Financing for Anytime Fitness. "This, in combination with the superb coaching provided by our team of franchise consultants, gives our franchisees a strong advantage in becoming cash flow positive in a short amount of time."
Founded in 2002, Anytime Fitness clubs are now open 24 hours a day in 49 states and 10 countries, serving more than 1,000,000 members. Members who join one club have access to all 1,600 Anytime Fitness clubs at no extra charge.
