CNA Names Christopher J. Winslow Chief Financial Officer
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA today announced the hiring of Christopher J. Winslow to serve as the not-for-profit research and analysis organization's Chief Financial Officer, senior vice president and Treasurer. Reporting to Robert Murray, CNA President and CEO, Winslow will assume his duties at CNA on January 1, 2012.

As CFO, Winslow will be responsible for all financial and contractual operations of CNA. He will manage the strategic planning, implementation, and management of CNA's accounting; budgeting; financial planning, reporting, systems development and operations; treasury functions; and contract administration and procurement. He will also oversee the annual consolidated budget, monthly forecasting and analysis.
Most recently, Winslow served as the CFO at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution – a globally recognized oceanographic science and engineering organization. Before Woods Hole, he was the CFO at the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a premier research institution and leader in technology transfer. From 1982 to 1998, Winslow worked for the MITRE Corporation, holding numerous finance and leadership positions until being appointed to vice president of Finance 1996.
Winslow earned his B.A. from St. Anselm College and his MBA from Lesley College. He serves on the EOM Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors of SOLENs Film Company, and of LWK Performing Arts.
