CHICAGO, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Alok Mehta, Chief Architect and Chief Technology Officer for CNA (NYSE: CNA), spent Friday afternoon speaking with the 12th grade students at Chicago Tech Academy (ChiTech) about key technology trends such as Mobile, Cloud and Big-Data.
The presentation was the first in a speaker series Alok will be doing for the school, as part of ChiTech's ongoing mission to engage the City's thriving technology industry to help mentor and provide leadership support for its students.
"There is nothing I enjoy more than sharing my love and knowledge of technology with students," said Alok after his presentation at the school campus on 1301 West 14th Street. "The students asked great questions and were really engaged. They know where they want to go, and are working hard to achieve their future career goals."
Alok closed his remarks by presenting a $10,000 donation to ChiTech on behalf of CNA. "The school is doing great things to prepare our future technology leaders, and CNA has been and will continue to be a proud supporter of your efforts," added Alok.
"Chicago Tech Academy would like to thank CNA for their generous donation to our school and our mission. CNA has been an amazing partner to ChiTech; they've been with us since our founding, and their contributions to ChiTech have only grown over the years," said Matthew Hancock, Executive Director, ChiTech.
