CNA Appoints Glen Curley Senior Vice President Of Healthcare
CHICAGO, Feb. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) today announced the appointment of Glen Curley to senior vice president, Healthcare segment, effective February 23, 2015. In this role, Glen will be responsible for the strategic leadership of this industry-leading segment.

Glen brings more than 25 years of underwriting, agency management, claims, operations and leadership experience to CNA. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president, National Healthcare Liability Practice Group Leader for Zurich Financial Services. In this role, Glen was responsible for underwriting, production and marketing of its North American Healthcare practice. He was also a member of Zurich's Specialties Executive Leadership Team, which is responsible for strategy representing a $400 million portfolio of Healthcare business on a national level.
Glen is an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). He also holds a bachelor of science in business administration, marketing and management from Western New England University in Springfield, MA.
Andy Shapiro, who stepped down from his leadership role due to health issues, will work closely with Glen to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Once the transition is complete, Andy will serve in an advisory capacity to Glen and the Healthcare team and other businesses going forward. This will include developing a long-term strategic plan for healthcare and determining how to drive more consistent execution in CNA's other customer segments.
