CMTL Verifies Intel® Skull Canyon NUC6i7KYK, DDR4-2400+ MHz SODIMMs Memory Support
ANAHEIM, Calif., April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CMTL, (www.cmtlabs.com), Computer Memory Test Labs, the industry's leading memory product compatibility and functionality testing lab, announced that it has verified that the newly introduced mini form factor "rocket" platform, Skull Canyon NUC6i7KYK, will support an unprecedented memory speed of +2400mhz. In addition, for overclockers, it can be pushed up to 3000Mhz, although not supported based on the Skull Canyon official technical operating specifications.
CMTL President, John Deters stated, "I made a layman comparison that the Skull Canyon is like having a VW with a 500hp engine plus all the amenities of a Lexus. Well, now, in addition, the DDR4-2400+ SODIMMs memory speed support is like adding a supercharger. Unofficial memory overclocking to 3000MHz is like adding nitrous oxide for even greater bursts of platform performance speed."
"The capabilities and performance characteristics of the Intel NUC6i7KYK are simply extraordinary," Deters further commented.
