CMT San Jose Announces 45th Anniversary Season
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Children's Musical Theater San Jose announced its 45th anniversary season of shows Saturday evening at its annual preview night. The organization's San Jose studio was the venue for over 500 fans who attended the outdoor event in celebration of a new season.
Now the longest thriving performing arts organization in San Jose, CMT continues to be a highly visible and active part of the Silicon Valley business and nonprofit sectors. "CMT leaves members of every audience beating their chests about our community's exceptionally talented, hardworking kids," says San Jose city councilmember Sam Liccardo. The season includes Rising Stars productions for ages 8-14: Barnum; Godspell; Disney's Aladdin, Jr.; The Music Man and Heidi. Mainstage shows for ages 14-20 will bring together high school and college students in the region for Smokey Joe's Cafe; Phantom and Jesus Christ Superstar. CMT Marquee Productions features local working actors and will attract top talent this season for A Chorus Line and a show – due to contract rights – to be announced September 1. Additionally, the anniversary season boasts a refreshed subscription package that includes free downtown parking and a personal ticketing concierge service.
