CloudMine's Backend-as-a-Service Launches Out of Beta
PHILADELPHIA, June 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CloudMine, a Backend-as-a-Service for mobile and web applications, is announcing coming out of beta and launching version 1.0 of its platform. Built to support the needs of developers with data and computationally intense applications, the CloudMine backend is now robust enough to take on enterprise customers while remaining easy to use for even one-man shops.
The idea for an instant, managed backend came out of a pain the CloudMine team felt in previous jobs. "Any time you build an app there's all this scaffolding that needs to go up: infrastructure, account management, data security and other basic services just so an app can run," comments Brendan McCorkle, CEO of CloudMine. He adds, "Everyone builds this scaffolding in the exact same way, and it's very tedious coding the exact same thing over and over again."
Fast, flexible and simple to use, CloudMine takes care of the infrastructure mess that stands between ideas and finished apps. Instead of managing multiple services, putting out server fires, and communicating with multiple vendors - just plug in and talk to CloudMine's API. It will take care of everything and deal with the headaches of making sure your app is running whenever, wherever.
CloudMine was founded in 2011 by Brendan McCorkle, Marc Weil and Ilya Braude. Their goal is to create an instant backend for building mobile and web apps, abolishing the hassles of dealing with scaling and maintaining infrastructure.
