Cloud, Mobile Computing and Social Media Hailed as New Drivers of Business Transformation at CIO Executive Leadership Roundtable
WESTPORT, Conn., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- If your business isn't serious about leveraging the potential of cloud computing, mobile computing and social media, the competition just might leave you in the dust.
That was one of the critical messages delivered to more than 120 Chicago-area CIOs and IT executives at the CIO Executive Leadership Roundtable held May 21 at the Metropolitan Club at Willis Tower in Chicago.
The invitation-only event, produced by HMG Strategy, LLC, provided a high-level, private venue for sharing crucial knowledge, exploring new strategies, and envisioning new revenue streams through innovative use of information technology. The Chicago Chapter of SIM (Society for Information Management) hosted the event.
"This roundtable was a clear call to action," said Hunter Muller, President and CEO, HMG Strategy. "We're truly at the cusp of a new era in which the newest technology drives innovation and innovation drives business value. This is a game changer."
Keynotes were delivered by Mark McDonald, Ph.D, Group Vice President and Head of Research, Gartner Executive Programs; and Roger Berry, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
Additional presenters included Mark Polansky, Senior Client Partner and Managing Director, Information Technology Officers Practice, Korn/Ferry International; Katie Graham, Partner, Heidrick & Struggles; and Mark H.
