Cloud Cruiser Invests in European Cloud Market
Cloud Cost Management vendor announces EMEA Center of Excellence to enable adoption of lower cost cloud platforms
RUST, Germany, March 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloud Cruiser, the pioneer in Cloud Cost Management, announced at World Hosting Days today, the opening of their European office and upcoming Cloud Cost Center of Excellence for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA.) The company has experienced a significant rise in the demand for Cloud Cruiser's technologies in the region and is making several strategic hires to support key European markets.
As reported by Gartner, "The European market is dominated by data center outsourcing (DCO) (81%) and as the recessionary economy continues, businesses are increasingly migrating into IUS and cloud services, driven by their need for international competitiveness and lower IT costs."1
Nearly 40% of Cloud Cruiser's current customers are based in Europe, with a large number being data center hosters that have transitioned to cloud-based offerings. Given that lowering IT costs is a primary driver for cloud adoption, the EMEA Cloud Cost Center of Excellence will provide enterprises and cloud service providers with an understanding of how to optimize and reduce their IT spending in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
"Cloud Cruiser is strategically focused on the cloud service provider market," states Dave Zabrowski, Founder and CEO of Cloud Cruiser. "By choosing World Hosting Days to announce our European expansion, we are demonstrating both our commitment to the European region and to its emerging cloud service provider market."
For data center hosters migrating to the cloud, Cloud Cruiser offers a financial management solution that is architected for dynamic, multi-platform, multi-tenant computing environments.
"Data center hosters are discovering the hard way that traditional billing solutions are not effective in the cloud," says John Calis, Cloud Cruiser's VP of Sales, EMEA." Billing systems that are designed around static monthly fees no longer work in a world where services can be turned on and off in a matter of seconds."
Exponential-e is the latest European service provider to adopt Cloud Cruiser's cost management solution. Located in the UK, Exponential-e offers a Virtual Data Centre (VDC) service that provides virtual storage and server resources that allow businesses to create their own private clouds.
"Cloud Cruiser is a cloud savvy financial management solution that enables us to run a more profitable business," says Dominic Anschutz, Head of Cloud Operations at Exponential-e. "We now have complete transparency into both our costs and our revenue, and the tools to manage both."
Cloud Cruiser is exhibiting this week at World Hosting Days from March 19-21, 2013 at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany and invites guests to visit them in Booth F11 for a personal demo.
