Clinical Care Options(R) and Scienta Healthcare Education(R) Announce Collaboration to Develop Innovative Neurology CME and Information Portal
RESTON, Va., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Clinical Care Options® (CCO) and Scienta Healthcare Education® announced today a collaboration for the development of a new online portal to deliver comprehensive continuing medical education (CME) programs and information in neurology for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
"We look forward to leveraging CCO's exceptional online technologies and proven innovative educational models to dramatically enhance and expand Scienta's rich neurology CME offerings," said Sherri Foster, CCMEP, President of Scienta. "This joint effort will allow us to more effectively reach clinicians and support their continuing medical education to improve patient care here in the United States and around the world."
Scienta will create and certify educational content for the new portal through CCO's proprietary learning models such as Conference Coverage, Journal Options, Interactive Case Challenges, and interactive decision support tools. CCO will host the portal on its clinicaloptions.com Web site and deliver its robust reporting and distribution systems with the same state-of-the-art functionality offered on its existing portals in HIV, hepatitis, and oncology.
"We are excited to introduce a new specialty portal to our members, neurologists, and other healthcare providers caring for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, headache/migraine, movement disorders, stroke, and other neurological diagnoses to help improve their care," said Jeffrey L. Drezner, MD, Ph.D., CEO of CCO. "We are pleased to be able to partner with such a highly regarded medical education company with deep expertise in neurology in order to create the portal and deliver the highest-quality CME programs."
CCO and Scienta members will have immediate access to the cobranded Web portal upon development, and new educational programs are expected to be available in spring 2010.
