Global leader in medical education and information promotes CCO executives
RESTON, Va., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Clinical Care Options®, LLC (CCO) today announced the promotions of 2 executive team members: Marissa Seligman, PharmD, FACEHP, CCMEP, as President and Chief Operating Officer and Trish Bates Doolin, as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Oncology.
As President of CCO, Dr. Seligman will be responsible for strategy and overall company performance, overseeing expansion of CCO's leading position in the continuing medical education (CME) market, and driving growth and expansion of specialty-focused education solutions. She joined the organization in August 2013 as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of virology, rheumatology, and other therapeutic areas.
In her expanded role, Dr. Seligman will continue to oversee operations, administration, and editorial/production functions for all of CCO, as well as the company's expansion into new disease and therapeutic areas.
With more than 25 years of experience in education, clinical research, and clinical practice, she is a highly respected leader in the medical education industry and she continues to represent CCO with professional CME associations, govern compliance with accrediting body guidelines, and serve as key spokesperson at industry forums.
Prior to joining CCO in 2013, she held various positions at DBC Pri-Med, LLC, where she served as Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President for Regulatory and Clinical Affairs. Dr. Seligman has held a variety of leadership positions at various companies including ViroPharma, SCP Communications, and Bayer Corporation. She is a Fellow of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions and has her CCMEP certification from the National Association of CME Professionals.
CCO also promoted Trish Bates Doolin to Executive Vice President and General Manager, Oncology. In this role, Ms. Doolin will assume, in addition to her duties as General Manager, Oncology, responsibility for marketing and business development training and support across CCO and outcomes activities.
Ms. Doolin brings more than 23 years of healthcare communications and medical education industry experience and expertise to her expanded role, having spent the better part of the last 16 years focused specifically in oncology medical communications and CME. Ms. Doolin joined CCO in 2005 and quickly earned a promotion to General Manager of the company's oncology business unit.
