CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Clifton Park Elks will provide 75 refurbished and new bicycles to youth (as well as their parents) from low-income families so they can commute to school, jobs, and recreational activities.
CAPTAIN Bike Works will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Clifton Park Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Clifton Park Elks Lodge No. 2466 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
