Clifford V. Johnson is recognized by Continental Who's Who
NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Clifford V. Johnson is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Nonprofit Management as a result of his role as the Past First Vice President of the Board of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation Inc.
The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Foundation Inc. works to promote, preserve, perpetuate, and encourage the music, arts, culture and heritage of communities in Louisiana through festivals, programs and other cultural, educational, civic and economic activities.
In his current position, Clifford works to coordinate fundraising events and oversees the entire festival including the site, talent, media and finances. Initially, Clifford started as a Program Associate in Humanities, becoming the Director of Curriculum and Faculty Development Programs. Clifford was then hired as the Executive Director of the community organization of local citizens, followed by a full time position as a development officer in one university and a fundraising consultant with other institutions. In these roles, Clifford took advantage of opportunities to learn more about fundraising as well as collaborating with other professional fundraisers in national organizations.
As a result of his dedication and professionalism, Clifford was named Fundraiser of the Year by the local chapter of the National Society of Fundraising Executives (NSFRE).
Clifford earned his MAT Degree in Language and Literature from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and also holds an ABD in Intercultural/International Education, as well as a BA in Natural Sciences from Dillard University.
