ClickTripz, LLC Names Mark Mamber Chief Revenue Officer
Former TripAdvisor National Sales Manager to lead revenue expansion at Rapidly Growing "Compare To" Travel Search Solution
MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Travel comparison ad network ClickTripz announced today that travel advertising veteran Mark Mamber has been named Chief Revenue Officer. This appointment comes on the heels of adding Mike Webb, formerly at FareCompare and most recently at Tripbase, to the ClipTripz team as Executive Vice President, Sales.
"ClickTripz is growing at a rapid pace despite doing little proactive business development to date; all of our growth has been fueled by referrals from publishers and advertisers who use our solution. We're excited to see what we can achieve when we put a proven, well-respected industry veteran like Mark in charge of growing the business," said Ross Weber, CEO of ClickTripz. "Our ClickTripz engineering team has built the lightest, most flexible 'compare to / check rates' solution on the market, and it is easily integrated into any travel site via our JavaScript API. Companies like Kayak and TripAdvisor have demonstrated the necessity of having comparison units as part of their monetization strategies, and our solution now enables any travel site to emulate these proven strategies."
Mamber was an early employee at user generated content pioneer VirtualTourist, where he was instrumental in building the business and leading the advertising sales and operations teams as Vice President, Advertising Sales. When TripAdvisor acquired VirtualTourist in 2008, Mark transitioned to the TripAdvisor sales organization. Over the course of his three-year tenure as TripAdvisor's National DMO Sales Manager, Mamber lead the team responsible for dramatic growth in TripAdvisor's DMO advertising revenue. Most recently, Mark was Vice President of Sales at Gogobot.com.
"In today's highly competitive travel media industry, it is increasingly difficult to find advertising solutions that work for all parties involved. ClickTripz has built an impressive travel advertising technology that generates a proven ROI for its advertisers and a lucrative revenue stream for their participating publishers, many of whom migrated to ClickTripz from their own in-house solutions," said Mamber. "This company's history of product innovation is more than impressive, and I am excited to join their word-class team, and bring this innovative advertising platform to more marketers and publishers."
ClickTripz was founded by Ross Weber, Eric Bjorndahl, and David Bjorndahl in 2010 and has not raised any outside capital.
