Cleversafe to Discuss Cloud Storage Opportunities and Challenges at Storage Visions 2011

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Chad Thibodeau, director of product management from Cleversafe Inc., the leader in resilient storage solutions ideally suited for storage clouds, will be a lead participant on the "Opportunities and Challenges for Consumer and Enterprise Cloud Storage" panel  at Storage Visions 2011 on January 5.

As a member of the six-panel discussion moderated by Mike Alvarado, former Board of Director member of SNIA, Thibodeau will help highlight the requirements and ways to manage growth for online content delivery and remote storage. The panel also features executives from Blackridge Technology, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp and Numagic Consulting. Thibodeau, a leading voice in alternate approaches to RAID and replication, especially for clustered and cloud storage, will discuss how petabyte-scale, expensive and legacy approaches are not as effective as information dispersal algorithm (IDA) in storing data securely in the cloud, by storing "slices" of data dispersed across multiple data centers.
