Cleversafe Exhibits Latest Cloud Security Software at Storage Networking World 2010

ORLANDO, Fla., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Cleversafe Inc., the leader in resilient storage solutions ideally suited for storage clouds and massive digital archives, will be exhibiting at Storage Networking World 2010 from April 12-15 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL.

Cleversafe will be offering demonstrations of its Cleversafe 2.0 software, which addresses the cloud security challenges existing with legacy storage systems by integrating the core principles of information security -- confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) within virtualized and cloud storage infrastructures. Cleversafe 2.0 uses Dispersed Storage™ technology to seamlessly and securely divide data into slices, and then disperse them to multiple storage nodes typically across three or four data centers. Each individual slice is unrecognizable as data and therefore inherently secure, whereas a defined threshold of slices can be used to bit-perfectly recreate the original data.

Attendees visiting Cleversafe's kiosk will see demonstrations of Cleversafe's Omnience® Manager 2000 to provision and monitor storage containers seamlessly on a dispersed storage network. Demonstrations show how users can set up geographical boundaries and control on the vault's locations to avoid inadvertent violations of regulatory compliance standards based on where data is virtually stored.  

As a member of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), and SNIA's Cloud Storage Initiative (CSI), Cleversafe will be located within the CSI Cloud Pavilion area on the tradeshow floor. Cleversafe will be discussing how dispersal technology coincides with the latest SNIA Architecture standard, the Cloud Data Management Interface (CDMI), which is the first industry-developed open standard for cloud computing and allows for interoperable cloud storage implementations from cloud service providers and storage vendors.
