Cleveland to Host National Rock the Tot Championships at Bar Louie

CLEVELAND, Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, October 5^th the top five winners from Bar Louie's annual "Rock the Tot" tater-tot eating contest will gather at Bar Louie in downtown Cleveland's Warehouse District to compete in the National Championship for the title of 2013 Rock the Tot Grand Champion.

Bar Louie locations around the country hosted their first round "Rock the Tot" tater tot eating contests on September 19^th, where solo competitors faced off in a challenge to eat as many tater tots possible in three minutes.  Every location crowned their own local champion who won a trophy, champions T-shirt, $250 Bar Louie gift card and Free Loaded Tots for a year.

All local results were then submitted to BL Restaurant Operations, LLC and the top five winners were determined.  Bob Kuhns of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Molly Schuyler of Kansas City, Missouri; Jose Carbajal of Hyde Park-Chicago, Illinois; Brian Feldman of Washington D.C. and Sean Mulcahey of Cincinnati, Ohio are now headed to Cleveland for a competition they won't soon forget.

The National Championship, which begins promptly at 7 p.m. will have a new element this year. In addition to the grand prize of $500 cash and free tots for life, the Grand Champion will be immortalized in the record books as Bar Louie has applied to set the world record for most tater tots eaten in three minutes! Guests are encouraged to come early and grab their spot to cheer on the tater-tot eating mayhem.
