Cleveland to Host National 'Rock the Tot' Championship

CLEVELAND, Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, October 25^th the top five winners from the local round of Bar Louie's annual "Rock the Tot" tater tot eating contest will gather at Bar Louie Cleveland to compete in the National Championship for an opportunity to be crowned the 2014 Rock the Tot Grand Champion and a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® official attempt.

Bar Louie locations around the country hosted their local round of "Rock the Tot" tater tot eating contests on October 9^th, where solo competitors faced off in a challenge to eat as many tater tots possible in three minutes. Every location crowned their own local champion with a trophy, champion T-shirt, $250 Bar Louie gift card and Free Loaded Tots for a year. All local results were compiled and the top five winners were determined.  The following contestants are headed to Cleveland for a competition they will not soon forget: David Brunelli from Bar Louie-Bensalem, PA, David Wood from Bar Louie–Poconos, Wilkes-Barre, PA, R. Edward Delacruz from Bar Louie-Oak Park, Chicago IL, Bob Kuhns from Bar Louie-Waterfront, Pittsburgh, PA, and Amory Ronquillo from Bar Louie-Easton, Columbus, OH.

Courtesy of Bar Louie, the competitors fly to Cleveland and will spend an afternoon at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before heading to Bar Louie in downtown Cleveland.  The National Championship begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. EDT.  In addition to the grand prize of $500 cash and free tots for life, the Grand Champion may be immortalized as a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS record holder as an official adjudicator will be on-site to validate the record attempt.  Guests are encouraged to come early and grab their spot to cheer on the tater tot eating mayhem.
