Cleveland Personal Injury Attorneys Honored by Ohio Association for Justice
CLEVELAND, May 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ohio Association for Justice has named James Lowe and Dennis Mulvihill, Cleveland personal injury attorneys from Lowe Eklund Wakefield & Mulvihill Co., LPA, as recipients of the organization's annual advocate awards. Both firm partners were honored during the 2012 Ohio Association for Justice Convention in Columbus, Ohio where they received their awards at the President's Dinner on May 3, 2012.
The President's Dinner, the flagship event at this year's convention, was attended by over 400 lawyers and their guests at the Hilton at Easton Town Center. During the event, Lowe was awarded the Craig Spangenberg Distinguished Advocate Award for his life's work and accomplishments—both professional and personal. Mulvihill, the immediate past president of the Ohio Association for Justice, received the R.C. Norris Advocate Award for demonstrating a strong commitment to advocating on behalf of plaintiffs' attorneys and their clients, and consistently going above and beyond in these endeavors.
Award selection began in December 2011 when the association initiated a call for nominations. The nomination committee reviewed each candidate's qualifications and accomplishments, narrowing the list down to a small group of finalists. Then, the Ohio Association for Justice President selected one recipient for each award.
"Our firm is highly honored to have the only two lawyers recognized for their dedication to client advocacy and professionalism by the Ohio Association for Justice this year," explained Lowe. "In line with the association's mission to preserve client rights and protect access to the civil justice system, we will continue encouraging individuals and companies to act responsibly, while working tirelessly to obtain the maximum compensation available for the seriously injured."
Since 1976, the award-winning trial attorneys at Lowe Eklund Wakefield & Mulvihill Co., LPA have successfully represented people in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, automobile product safety, personal injury, home and workplace safety, medical malpractice, and birth injuries, as well as families of victims of wrongful death. U.S. News & World Report named the firm to its "Best Law Firms" list (2010–2012), while lawyers from the firm were again honored as Ohio Super Lawyers for 2012.
