KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 24, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Clearwave Fiber is ahead of schedule constructing its state-of-the art, all-Fiber Internet network in Salina, KS. This expansion is part of the company's effort to deliver Fiber Internet service to thousands of homes and businesses across the state.
Since breaking ground in Salina in March of this year, Clearwave Fiber has delivered service to more than 6,000 homes and businesses in the community. The project is expected to provide 100% Fiber Internet to nearly 18,000 locations by 2025.
"We've installed customers early in several areas of Salina, thanks to the efforts of our construction crews and the ease of working with local officials and businesses," said Clearwave Fiber's Midwest Region President, Charles Lawrence. "We're excited to bring superior speed and reliability to Salina customers on our 100% Fiber network, which is installed and serviced by our exceptional local customer support team." Construction in Salina is currently eight weeks ahead of schedule.
Featuring gigabit download and upload speeds, Clearwave Fiber will bring 10 times more speed to consumer doorsteps at a time when fast, reliable Internet has become increasingly critical to modern households and businesses. Remote work, streaming, gaming, smart home technology and multiple device connectivity all require robust, reliable connections. Clearwave Fiber is committed to providing a hassle-free, high-quality Fiber data connection to every location of its growing footprint.
"Clearwave Fiber has undertaken the large task of providing Fiber throughout the City of Salina," said Shawn Hennessee, Assistant City Manager of Salina. "This is a great benefit for residents and businesses, considering previously limited high bandwidth options."
Clearwave Fiber has been involved with many organizations in the community and aims to play an active role as a local business in the area. "Connecting our customers and communities is at the heart of everything we do. We want to be more than just an Internet provider. We believe in truly making an impact and giving back," said Kala Maxfield, Regional Director, Kansas. "We were a sponsor of the Pumpkin PaZOOla Festival at Rolling Hills Zoo recently and had a great time meeting families from the neighborhoods we serve. We look forward to getting to know even more local folks as we continue to expand."
Clearwave Fiber has built almost 10,000 route miles of Fiber in the Midwest and Southeastern United States, with a goal to bring the fastest and most advanced Internet available to more than 500,000 homes and businesses by the end of 2026.
