WASHINGTON, Oct. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ClearPath Action Fund is endorsing Colorado Rep. Mike Coffman as the 14th member of the organization's list of 2016 Republican clean energy leaders to campaign for this election cycle.
"In representing a truly energy-diverse district and state, Mike Coffman understands the need for pushing for a cleaner all-of-the-above agenda," ClearPath Action Fund Founder and CEO Jay Faison said. "And as a military combat veteran, he also knows first-hand how U.S. energy innovation and self-sufficiency can bolster national security."
Coffman has co-sponsored a wide range of legislation that aims to create parity in the tax code for advanced energy technologies, boost development of small hydropower projects as well as geothermal.
He has also backed legislation requesting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issue operating permits for new commercial nuclear reactors. Coffman more broadly has advocated for doing "all that we can to reduce carbon emissions" but to do so in a "balanced approach that considers the economic impact of the rate at which we reduce our carbon emissions."
ClearPath Action Fund will tout Coffman in a six-figure digital and mailer campaign run by Anthro and featured on many networks, including Facebook, Google, Twitter, SpotX and 4info. The innovative campaign will leverage a sophisticated microtargeting strategy to identify persuadable clean energy voters. The extent of the campaign will be based on identifying the most cost-efficient means of impacting these voters by determining the cost-per-vote through a test-design methodology.
