ClearOne Announces New CONNECT® Dante™ Network Bridge For Scalable Pro Audio Solutions At InfoComm 2014
ClearOne to feature seamless compatibility in Dante network audio bridging with CONVERGE® product line, Booth #N1827
SALT LAKE CITY, May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing its innovation in the Professional Audio market, ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO) introduces the CONNECT Dante network bridge for simple and scalable audio networking with no need to change existing hardware. The modular audio networking approach uses CONNECT network audio bridges with ClearOne's flagship family of CONVERGE Pro & SR products, allowing users to easily build a scalable system over time.
"This new unit provides system integrators with a Dante digital transport for audio systems. While CONVERGE already supports CobraNet®, the addition of Dante gives customers the flexibility of choosing the appropriate bridge based on their requirements," said Durai Ramachandiran, ClearOne's Senior Director of Product Line Management for Pro Voice and AV Distribution. "Ideal for enterprise applications, hospitality projects, and higher education, CONNECT Dante expands the reach of CONVERGE products for more varied audio distribution projects."
ClearOne's CONNECT Dante bridge provides the compact form factor and ease-of-use necessary to create a scalable audio network, compatible with existing hardware. A simple firmware upgrade will allow CONVERGE products to fully integrate with Dante-enabled network bridges, microphones, and amplifiers. The robust, highly-interoperable Dante solution provides a no-hassle, self-configuring, true plug-and-play digital audio network using standard Internet Protocols on existing infrastructure—without requiring a dedicated network. Some of the largest live events and sophisticated installations worldwide use this technology, which is based on global networking standards, making signal distribution more cost-effective and user-friendly.
"Audinate's primary goal of revolutionizing the connection of AV systems is fully realized with the introduction of Dante technology," said Ervin Grinberg, Director of Marketing for Audinate. "Dante makes it simple to create a digital media network, while meeting the performance standards professional installers require. We're excited to work with ClearOne in providing this breakthrough technology solution to the Pro Audio market."
CONNECT Dante will be on display at InfoComm 2014, ClearOne Booth #N1827. The product is targeted to ship in June 2014.
