CyberMaryland 2014 Cyber Job Fair

The inaugural ClearedJobs.Net Cyber Job Fair will be held in conjunction with the CyberMaryland 2014 conference in Baltimore, MD, October 29-30, 2014. CyberMaryland is produced by the Federal Business Council.

ClearedJobs.Net was selected to be the job fair partner for CyberMaryland based on the company's reputation for presenting the cleared community's premiere events as well as the strength of its initiatives to support transitioning military and veterans.

Now in its fourth year, CyberMaryland is the pre-eminent cybersecurity conference in the nation's leading cybersecurity state. The Cyber Job Fair is held the first day of the conference from 11am-3pm and is a sold out event with 22 participating cybersecurity employers.

Deciphering the Cyber Workforce Challenge

ClearedJobs.Net has been researching the challenge of filling cybersecurity positions by interviewing senior cybersecurity leaders and practitioners for a blog series titled "Deciphering the Cyber Workforce Challenge."

The premise is to identify veterans who continue their careers in cybersecurity, leveraging their military skills and mission focus to cyber challenges. In addition to highlighting how these veterans were able to deploy their skills in these new cyber careers, the series identifies key Military Occupation Specialties (MOSs) that pertain to cybersecurity.
