CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Clear Markets and N3XT, a fully reserved, Wyoming-chartered U.S. bank, today announced that N3XT has joined the Collateralizer® network as a custodian for U.S. Dollar deposits, and Clear Markets is opening an account with N3XT.
In an industry first, institutions will be able to pledge USD held at a regulated bank, N3XT, managed on Clear Markets' multi-custodian platform as collateral for 24/7 transactions, including forwards, options, and swaps traded on the Clear Markets Swap Execution Facility (CMSEF), funding for third-party exchanges, and security for borrowing. Together, N3XT and Clear Markets empower institutions with real-time 24/7 active collateral management that meets a critical, growing demand for dollar infrastructure to secure burgeoning, 24/7 financial markets.
CMSEF is a CFTC-regulated swap execution facility for 24/7 institutional digital-asset and crypto derivatives trading, on a single global order book. Collateralizer® is Clear Markets' separate proprietary collateral-management service, connecting independent bank custodians for margin and collateral workflows. Through the Collateralizer®, bank clients can pledge USD cash held at N3XT under agreed custody and collateral-control arrangements. N3XT provides cash custody and account-control agreements, while Clear Markets provides collateral management technology without taking custody of client funds.
The pairing allows institutions to allocate collateral and meet initial and variation margin calls as portfolio values change, while the dollars remain at an independent bank custodian. N3XT's programmable payments move between N3XT accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, supporting margin movement on the same clock as overnight and weekend trading in digital-asset and crypto derivatives.
