BOSTON, March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Clear Ballot will be demonstrating the ClearVote voting system along with other local innovators focusing on civic technology at Mass Innovation Nights today on Tuesday, March 8th from 6:00-8:30pm at District Hall in Boston, MA. The event is open to community members and media who are interested in learning more about companies with innovative solutions to improve government infrastructure and enhance the lives of citizens. District Hall is located at 75 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA 02210.
The ClearVote voting system has provided election officials with an intuitive browser-based ballot layout process, a tabulation and reporting system and an accessible solution to ensure equality for all voters. ClearVote technology gives election officials a complete digital database that includes visualization of all votes in an election and a digital inventory reducing human error and providing an inherently more secure voting system.
Clear Ballot launched the ClearCast precinct voting unit, one component of the ClearVote voting system, in January in an effort to bring the company's innovative technology solutions to precinct voting. ClearCast offers election officials an alternative to proprietary equipment that can quickly become obsolete. Comprised entirely of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, ClearVote products ensure modern technology and a solution that's easy to use for election administrators.
"Clear Ballot election technology is designed to provide a voting solution that will ensure continuous innovation," said Larry Moore, CEO of Clear Ballot. "We're the first company in over a decade to provide the election industry with a modern voting system that improves the voter experience, increases transparency and builds trust in the electoral process."
Clear Ballot election technology is currently used in Oregon and Florida as well as New York, where Clear Ballot recently received certification. The company has also conducted successful pilots in New York, Colorado, Vermont and California.
