LONDON, March 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity Monaco, the forum for emerging cleantech companies, closed Friday 4 March with the CleanEquity Awards Ceremony presided over by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The annual invitation-only event hosted 34 next-generation companies from four continents, presenting to an audience of over 250 delegates, comprising specialist financial and strategic investors, policy makers, end-users and international trade and technical media.
The award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Research went to Halo IPT, a high technology start up based in the UK developing wireless charging systems for electric cars, busses and commercial vehicles.
The award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Development went to Enecsys who develop, manufacture and market world leading, highly reliable grid-connected solar micro-inverters and monitoring systems.
The award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Commercialization went to Whitefox who specialise in technology development and process integration based on membranes. Whitefox are currently commercialising applications for ethanol production on a worldwide basis and continues to develop applications for fuel cells, carbon capture and water purification.
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannu presented the Stelios Award for the Young Cleantech Entrepreneur of 2011 to Solar Press a young, innovative, London-based company offering low-cost, light-weight, flexible solar panels targeted at developing markets.
