Clean Tech Investment Forum in Portland With $50,000 Prize!
SEATTLE, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- ZINO Society is expanding the ZINO Green Investment Forum to the Portland market for the first time with $50,000 in guaranteed funding. "ZINO Green has always drawn an enthusiastic investment audience because of the quality and diversity of entrepreneurs in the green space," notes Cathi Hatch, ZINO Society Founder and CEO. "Portland has a strong community of angel investors and entrepreneurs, many of whom have attended ZINO Society targeted investment forums in Seattle. We are so pleased to partner with the Portland angel/entrepreneur community in producing the first ZINO Green Portland. We are very appreciative of the advice and counsel we are receiving from the ZINO Green Portland Advisory Committee including Douglas Bouland and Cindy Tortorici, Co-Chairs, and members Don Krahmer, Chris Fenner, Nicole Vogel, Dennis Powers, Brian Rice, Bruce Ramseyer, Nancy Frisch, Deneen King, Rob Wiltbank, Marcia Stillwell, Brenda Meltebeke, Selby Key and Socrates Jimenez. We are also delighted to partner with Oregon Entrepreneur Network and Oregon Technology Business Center."
ZINO Green Portland will be a half-day event featuring 12-15 companies in the areas of clean tech, energy efficiency and sustainable products or services, who are selected to present their businesses to angel investors and business leaders and will be held Feb. 24 from 1-6 pm at the Portland offices of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt.
This year, entrepreneurs will make their pitches in both Portland and Seattle locations with only one presentation fee of $750. Companies that would like to be considered to present at ZINO Green need to submit an online application, upload an executive summary no more than 5 pages long, and pay a $150 application fee by the January 29th, 2010 deadline.
An investment fund of $50,000 will be awarded to the company selected by the ZINO Green 2010 fund investors as the best investment opportunity.
The ZINO Green Screening Board will select a group of semi-finalists to move forward to a 2nd level screening round. Those semi-finalist companies will present to the ZINO Green Screening/Coaching Board on February 3 or 4, 2010. In total, 12-15 companies will be selected to present to the Portland and Seattle investment communities.
Included in the presentation fee for the companies selected to present will be 2 individual coaching sessions prior to the forums. The coaching sessions' goal is to help each presenter be effective and compelling during his/her presentation to the investors.
