CYPRESS, Calif., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Clarion Corporation of America is serious about keeping its aftermarket distribution channel clean. An eternal battle within the mobile electronics industry is making sure only authorized dealers and distributors sell a manufacturer's products.

"Clarion is tackling this issue head-on. Our company has made a significant effort to track, monitor and eliminate transshipping and unauthorized sales, whether brick and mortar or over the internet," said President Tom Hayashi. "This industry cannot continue to allow this practice to happen and this is just one of the many ways Clarion's efforts directly benefit our legitimate and trusted dealers and distributors."
Clarion has taken deliberate measures by notifying its distribution network of not only the benefits of this activity but also the consequences of violation, including termination of business. In recent months the company has been tasked with some serious business decisions and has discontinued business with repeat offenders in both its direct dealer network and its regional distributors. Though drastic, these actions have only strengthened Clarion's brand and its business with the remaining authorized dealers and distributors.
Clarion's supplementary efforts are paying off as well with dealers buying through regional distribution. Clarion has broadly communicated the use of its excellent dealer support extranet, TEAMCLARION.COM and the usage of Authorized Clarion Dealer stickers, which have been included in a widely distributed dealer kit, among other supporting materials.
Along with an emphasis on National Product Training, Clarion expects these supporting efforts to further strengthen its relationships with all of its authorized dealers and to continuously improve brand value and image.
