The 5,000 square-foot CKO Kickboxing gym in the Belknap Mall, 96 Daniel Webster Highway, Belmont, N.H., features 50 heavy bags so that each participant has his/her own heavy bag. All classes are led by motivated instructors whose passion for fitness and kickboxing flows onto the participants so that the classes are action-packed, burn calories, and reduce stress in an atmosphere designed to be fun and engaging.
The franchise owner, Vincent Andreula, came to CKO Kickboxing through the family connection. His brother, Joseph Andreula, opened the first CKO Kickboxing gym back in 1997 in Hoboken, N.J. and started franchising in 2008. In those early days, Vincent helped Joseph with cleaning up the space, painting the walls, hanging the heavy bags and setting up the sound system. Then Vincent watched as people – men and women – young and old - started to come to take classes, surrounded by a supportive environment, music pumping, continuously moving, and left after class drenched in sweat but happy to have worked out in such an addicting and motivating environment.
"The image of those happy people never left my mind and I wanted one day to own my own CKO Kickboxing franchise," Vincent Andreula said.
Vincent has assembled a team of like-minded people who want to bring fitness to people's lives in a new and different way. One such person, is Heidi Lehr, whose passion for fitness and helping others shows in everything that she does.
About CKO Kickboxing
CKO Kickboxing is one of America's fastest-growing franchises according to Entrepreneur Magazine, which included the kickboxing gym franchise in its Franchise 500 list of best franchises in 2015. The magazine rated CKO Kickboxing the Top Personal Service Franchise in the Fitness category in 2016.
"CKO Kickboxing is one of the most trusted names in fitness franchises. CKO Kickboxing is a true, nationwide sports fitness franchise with gyms from coast to coast in approximately 75 locations," said Joseph Andreula, Founder of CKO Kickboxing. The company recently opened several gyms in the Los Angeles area, Manhattan, and Miami, among others. "The beauty of our exercise classes is that anybody can do it. Since it focuses more on the fitness aspect rather than the martial arts aspect, it is not intimidating. The instructor controls the tempo, but the client controls the intensity. You can have a fun, effective, and safe workout."
CKO Kickboxing continues to grow because new franchise owners receive ongoing training on how to run a business and also receive coaching on the latest trends in health and fitness.
"We treat our franchise owners like they are family, because they are," Joseph Andreula said. "That's why so many people, including former military members, want to take advantage of our fitness franchise opportunity."
