"We cater to all fitness levels and ages. We can help anyone, even if they've had past injuries. We can modify the moves to fit any ability," said Darlene Pallay, Owner and Head Trainer for CKO Franklin which she has owned for eight years with her husband Joe Pallay.
She is especially proud of the "transformation challenges" held throughout the year.
"We've had amazing results. We provide nutritional guidance as well as kickbox training. They log their food for the week. We make suggestions on where they need to change. We offer an online support group, recipes, and tips for intake and snacks. They work out with three kickboxing classes and two small group trainings a week. We take weight and measurements as well. We've helped thousands of people lose weight," she said.
"I absolutely love everything about this gym, the owners and the trainers. I've tried personal trainers through the years and every single one gave up on me. When I joined CKO I was skeptical. Boy, was I wrong. In the 10 weeks I lost 15.8 pounds, a total of 15.5 inches and 4% body fat. I'm beyond grateful for how they have all changed my life," said Kristine Osterhoudt, 33 of Wantage, a full-time working mother of three children.
"I was 40 pounds overweight and struggling to get fit and healthy again. With the support of all the trainers as well as fellow Challengers, I lost 20 pounds. I feel amazing and I'm ready to continue reaching all of my goals," said Karen May, of Sparta. "Stepping into CKO Franklin was the best decision I've made in a very long time."
"I started CKO to try to lose weight for my wedding. I have lost 30 pounds. It's a fun workout that kicks your butt day in and day out with changing trainers and work outs," said Thomas Gordon, of Vernon.
The next Transformational Challenge starts January 29th.
"We've been in business for eight years and we love being involved in the community," said Mrs. Pallay. For example, when a member lost her son in a tragic skateboard accident and another member lost her husband suddenly, they held fundraisers to help the families. They also participate in food drives throughout the year for local food pantries.
