Civitas Senior Living Announces New Post-Acute Division

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Civitas Senior Living located in Fort Worth, TX, is proud to introduce Civitas Post-Acute to manage skilled nursing centers and rehabilitation centers. As a regional leader in senior living, Civitas Senior Living has strategically added the Post-Acute Division to meet all levels of care for senior living services.

Wayne Powell, CEO and owner, stated, "With our continued growth we are looking at acquisitions that include a skilled nursing product. Introducing Civitas Post-Acute allows us to expand our management portfolio. Our focus will be on continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) which include assisted living, independent living, and skilled nursing facility (SNF) on the same campus. Our first acquisition will be a stand-alone SNF that will provide the platform for the future. I am excited to introduce resident choice programs that will bring a higher quality selection of food and services to our new customers."

Civitas Post-Acute will begin operations of its first two properties during the fourth quarter of  2015 through acquisition. The two properties are located in the East Texas community of Jefferson, Texas. Pine Hill Terrace and Magnolia Manor will undergo extensive renovations to better meet the customer's needs. Future growth will be strategic with no defined targets – Powell did say Civitas has offers on at least one additional SNF and is evaluating a couple of additional CCRC's for future acquisition. 

Along with the addition of the two SNF communities for Civitas Post-Acute, Civitas Senior Living acquired Cypress Place in Jefferson, Texas. Currently, Civitas operates Cambridge Court Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in Mesquite, TX, Autumn Wind Assisted Living in Winnsboro,

TX, Aria Memory Care in Cedar Park, TX, and Midtowne Assisted Living and Memory Care in Midlothian, TX. Future growth includes projects in Burleson, Flower Mound, Dripping Springs, Austin, Cypress, Fort Worth, Willow Park, and Allen.
