Civitas Capital Group Establishes Three New EB-5 Regional Centers in Key Markets

DALLAS, June 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Civitas Capital Group ("Civitas"), a specialty asset management and financial services firm with operating divisions focused on Alternative Investments, EB-5 Capital and Wealth Management, today announced that United States Citizen and Immigration Services ("USCIS") has approved the establishment of three new EB-5 Regional Centers covering Northern California, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

These new Regional Centers will facilitate substantial and valuable economic development at essentially no cost to taxpayers in three key economic regions in the country. The Regional Centers will seek foreign investors to fund a variety of investments, including real estate, infrastructure and healthcare.

The new EB-5 Regional Centers will provide economic development opportunities in the following communities:

• Civitas NorCal Regional Center
  • Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano, and Sonoma.
• Civitas Philadelphia Regional Center
  • Delaware - New Castle;
  • New Jersey - Burlington, Camden, Gloucester;
  • Pennsylvania - Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery; and,
  • Philadelphia.
• Civitas Washington, D.C. Regional Center
  • Maryland - Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Charles, Columbia, Federick;
  • Virginia – Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudon, Prince William, Spotsylvania, Stafford; and,
  • Washington, D.C.

A Regional Center is an economic entity, public, private or a hybrid of both, established to promote economic growth, improve regional productivity, create jobs and increase domestic capital investment. Congress created the EB-5 Regional Center Program in 1992, facilitating residency applications for foreign nationals willing to invest significant capital in the United States to create permanent, high-quality jobs. 

Through its EB-5 Capital division, Civitas is the manager of 13 Regional Centers throughout the United States, which have funded or are in the process of providing hundreds of millions of dollars of EB-5 capital to a range of projects.
