CityU's Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Leadership program is uniquely designed for experienced leaders in education or business management. To meet student demands and accommodate busy schedules, this program is available entirely online, with the option to attend three, two-day, in-person residencies in Seattle. Students in the program find these residency experiences impactful and practical in their professional lives and enjoy connecting with their peers, doctoral faculty, and dissertation chairs.
With the option to select from three concentration areas – Educational Leadership (P-12), Higher Education, or Organizational Leadership – students are challenged to identify problems and propose solutions in their doctoral and dissertation work. Unlike other doctoral programs, this program is intended to be applicable and relevant to working professionals and industries that need solutions. Like all its programs, CityU's doctoral program is taught by practitioner faculty who are highly experienced in academia and the working world.
"We are delighted to now offer an accredited solutions-based doctoral degree that is focused on helping experienced professionals advance their careers, just as all of CityU's programs do." says CityU President Richard Carter.
The Ed.D. program offers working professionals the opportunity to develop advanced leadership skills in strategic thinking, critical analysis, change management, and organizational development, preparing students to become the global leaders of the 21st century.
CityU is accepting applications for this 90-credit degree program and welcomes inquiries about its flexible online format. For more details on this program please visit CityU's website.
