The Lackawanna Valley Experiences Transportation System Renaissance
NEW YORK, Aug. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Pango, headquartered in New York City, kicks off a four-year expanded partnership with the City of Scranton at the city's annual Italian Festival (http://lafestaitaliana.org) over the Labor Day weekend.
The City of Scranton entered into a four-year citywide agreement with Pango kicking off this weekend. Scranton conducted a deep review of mobile payment providers in an open request for proposals, and selected Pango as the best provider.
Pango has partnered with Scranton's Italian Festival http://lafestaitaliana.org to celebrate the launch of Pango citywide. Pango's team will join the festival from Saturday till Monday, educating and signing people up (at no cost), and each new customer receives a Pango T-shirt!
Mayor William Courtright: "Pango partnered with the City of Scranton on all levels. They have become part of our local community, and are making parking more convenient for our drivers while generating more revenue for the city."
Pango initiated a pilot with city center in 2013. "Cities like Scranton and Pittston are leading a renaissance for the transportation systems across the Lackawanna Valley," says Neil Edwards, President of Pango, "These cities have the vision and leadership to create a rebirth of their parking systems using Pango.
