City of Miami Gardens Joins the Haitian Relief Effort
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The City of Miami Gardens in collaboration with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Carol City is collecting donations in support of Haiti relief efforts. The purpose of this effort is for the residents of the City of Miami Gardens to assist the nation of Haiti in rebuilding its community and providing much needed relief to the residents of the island nations in the difficult days and months ahead.
As a community strongly composed of people from the various Caribbean island nations, including Haiti, this assistance represents the commitment of the City of Miami Gardens' community to assist our neighbors in this time of need.
The City of Miami Gardens has set up several donation drop-off sites located at various City parks and at the Miami Gardens Police Department (see list of sites and addresses below). All items collected at the various City of Miami Gardens sites will be delivered regularly to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Carol City in order to transport them to the island of Haiti.

- Medical supplies such as band aids, alcohol, peroxide, latex gloves, etc.
- Utility gloves, flashlights and batteries.
- Water and non-perishable food items (canned foods and powdered milk), and can openers.
- Diapers, baby clothes, wipes and bottles.
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste.
