City of Denver and TZ Medical win a Gold Value Chain Award
CHICAGO, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyless, the leading global M2M managed services provider, is proud to announce that the City of Denver and TZ Medical have been awarded Gold Connected World Value Chain Awards for their solutions powered by the Wyless M2M platform.
The Value Chain Awards honor highly successful corporate adopters of M2M technology and connected devices, as well as the solution providers that made their successes possible. The awards recognize the complex process involved in launching and managing M2M solutions and highlight the key partners involved in the design and development of the winning solution.
Also honored with these awards are the technology enablers and Wyless partners IPS Group, T-Mobile USA, Arrow Electronics, Telit Wireless Solutions, ClearConnex, Cinterion and Taoglas.
City of Denver – smart parking meters
Since 2008, San Diego-based IPS Group has partnered with the City of Denver to upgrade their aging parking meter infrastructure to a state-of-the-art coin and credit card capable smart meter system.
The IPS meters installed in the City of Denver are solar powered to maximize battery life and are environmentally friendly.
Motorists appreciate the multiple payment options including debit/credit card, and the City cherishes the real-time reports and data made available through the online management system. IPS meters are also designed to be "future-proof," and can be upgraded at any time, including the ability to be paired with IPS Vehicle Detection Sensors and IPS Smart Cash Collection System.
Wyless is pleased to provide the M2M wireless data connectivity on the T Mobile US Network and managed services that underpin the new smart parking meters.
TZ Medical – remote cardiac monitoring devices
Today, there are around four million people who need care for recurring arrhythmias in the US alone, and the medical community requires best-in-class technology for detection and monitoring. The TZ Medical Aera CT improves the ability to rapidly detect heart arrhythmias during normal day-to-day activities and over long periods. The Aera CT enables secure and reliable communication of detailed diagnostic data via cellular networks and the Internet, providing patients and their physicians with 24/7 monitoring and improved detection and visibility of arrhythmia events. TZ Medical worked with Cinterion Wireless Modules and Taoglas Antennas on the Aera CT design and Wyless provides connectivity and managed services for the Aera CT on T Mobile's network in the USA and other mobile operators globally.
"The City of Denver/IPS Group and TZ Medical solutions are perfect examples of our ability to deliver a managed M2M service through successful collaboration with our ecosystem partners," said Dan McDuffie, CEO, Wyless. "These are just a few examples of the innovative solutions from Wyless partners that enrich the lives of others and are experiencing widespread adoption on a global scale. We are very pleased that Connected World has singled out these solutions for their innovation.
