City of Baytown Health Department Completes Implementation Project for Leading Environmental Health Software
CITY OF BAYTOWN, Texas, March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Decade Software Company, LLC, premier provider of enterprise web-based and mobile software applications for regulatory agencies, announced today that the City of Baytown Health Department is now live with Decade's EnvisionConnect product suite. The City of Baytown exclusively uses EnvisionConnect to manage its Food Service, Public Pools, and Environmental Nuisance Complaint Programs.

The go-live culminated with Baytown completing its first invoicing period using EnvisionConnect's enterprise accounting system. "The billing process with EnvisionConnect was smoother than the process with our original software," said Tony Gray, Environmental Health Manager for the City. "Our Decade implementation specialist worked very hard to make sure the process went smoothly. We just completed our second billing cycle for pool permits, and those went off without a hitch. We also are enjoying our new tablets, which have been an exciting acquisition for inspectors. Overall everything is easier, quicker, and better."
Beyond EnvisionConnect for internal operations, the City of Baytown uses Decade's remote inspection software, EnvisionConnect Remote, to perform electronic inspections of retail food facilities in the field. The department also plans to launch EnvisionConnect Press Agent, Decade's public-facing application for publishing inspection results online, in the coming months.
