City Index Duo Raise 5K for Charity with Rickshaw Run
LONDON, June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
City Index (http://www.cityindex.co.uk/), an innovative global leader in spread betting and CFD trading, recently welcomed back two employees from raising £5,000 by completing the Rickshaw Run - one of the world's most dangerous charity events.
Allen Knight and Michael Herron, City Index's Head of UK Retail Sales and Global Director of Legal and Compliance respectively, tackled the 5,000km adventure across India in a three-wheel 150cc-powered rickshaw.
The brave pair, who christened their team "City City Bang Bang", took the rickshaw from the southern tip of India, around the coast, bypassing Nepal and Bangladesh, and deep into the hills of Meghalaya.
The journey across the harsh Indian terrain saw the duo raise £5,000 for Frank Water and SCAD, two local Indian charities. City Index would like to thank all those who contributed to a very noble cause.
