CITGO Petroleum and Condon Oil Host Customer Appreciation Day at 5 Star CITGO in Mukwonago
Local CITGO Dealer, Miss Wisconsin and the Fueling Good Road Trip Team Raise Money for Mukwonago YMCA
MUKWONAGO, Wis., July 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CITGO Petroleum Corporation and local CITGO Marketer Condon Oil are hosting a Customer Appreciation Day at the 5 Star CITGO in Mukwonago, Wis., on July 12. In addition to enjoying free product samples, giveaways and special offers all day long, attendees can also help raise money for the local YMCA. The event will serve as the kick-off for the 5 Star "Be a Star, Buy a Star." program where customers can buy "Star Blocks" from July 12 through July 19. All proceeds will go to the new Mukwonago YMCA "Community Support Campaign," a program that offers financial assistance for memberships, youth programs and community programs like SPLASH.
"The new YMCA just opened in September 2012, so we want to do what we can to support it," said Darwin Greenwald, owner of the 5 Star CITGO, whose family donated the land on which the Mukwonago YMCA was built. Greenwald also serves on the Mukwonago YMCA Board of Directors. "Families make up 75% of the YMCA's membership, and that makes their services so important to our community. One hundred percent of the money from our fundraising will stay in the Mukwonago area for local people in need."
Customers attending the event between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. will have a chance to meet the recently crowned Miss Wisconsin, Paula Mae Kuiper. Additionally, the CITGO Fueling Good Ambassadors, Adam and Diego, will be stopping by to highlight the continuous good that 5 Star CITGO does for its community.
"We know how important the YMCA and its programs are to the local community. Darwin Greenwald who owns this station holds the 'Community Support Campaign' close to his heart and really wanted to find a way to continue to support it," said Tom Reinsch, vice president of petroleum operations at Condon Oil. "This is a great opportunity for us to give back to Darwin's loyal customers and give back to the Mukwonago community."
Customer Appreciation Day will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the 5 Star CITGO at 909 Greenwald Court in Mukwonago, located just off the interstate at I-43 and Hwy 83. In addition to supporting the local YMCA, customers will have the opportunity to sign-up for a CITGO Rewards credit card and join the Ultimate Rewards loyalty program to earn points on every purchase.
The Mukwonago YMCA serves families in Waukesha County, Racine County, Walworth County and beyond; it helps support programs, including youth sports, swim lessons, summer camp, teen leadership programs and afterschool programs.
