CITGO Marketer Santarelli & Sons Launches Fundraising Program for St. Joseph's Center
All Proceeds to Benefit Local Children and Families
SCRANTON, Pa., May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Local CITGO Marketer Santarelli & Sons Oil Company Inc. recently launched a "Be A Star. Buy A Star." fundraising campaign to benefit St. Joseph's Center. From May 18 through June 1, customers at the 14 local Santarelli & Sons CITGO locations can buy paper "stars" for one dollar, with all of the proceeds donated to St. Joseph's Center during a special ceremony in June. The goal is to raise $1,000 during the two-week campaign.
"As part of the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton communities, we know the value of the great programs that St. Joseph's Center provides," said Ken Santarelli of Santarelli & Sons. "We are thrilled to be able to help them continue offering assistance to local families."
St. Joseph's Center in Scranton, Pa. was founded in 1888. It assists individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays, pregnant women, young families, couples hoping to adopt and patients who require outpatient therapy.
