Citadele Bank Chooses MobileIron for BYOD and Document Security

As Citadele Bank began to prepare for a BYOD program, CIO Guntars Andersons recognized the need to provide employees with an easy-to-use mobility service without compromising the security of the bank data. "At our bank, employees are free to choose their work device.  Some of us prefer iOS-based phones, others choose Android-based ones. This means we have a wide variety of devices from different manufacturers," said Andersons.

Citadele Bank started to look for solutions over year ago that would deliver email and data securely inside and outside the workplace. The risk and security team was very concerned about data security but the mobile IT team knew that a great usability was also critical. Citadele Bank in cooperation with Data Security Solutions and Head Technology selected MobileIron.

As the next step in its Mobile First journey, Citadele Bank is considering supporting third party apps to further increase employee productivity by mobilizing core business processes.
