CircleUp Appoints Scott Sanborn As Director
Lending Club COO and CMO joins marketplace Board of Directors
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CircleUp (www.circleup.com), an online marketplace for private equity investing, announced today that Scott Sanborn has joined the company's board of directors. Mr. Sanborn will continue his leadership role as chief operating officer and chief marketing officer at Lending Club (NYSE: LC), which recently completed an initial public offering. The announcement follows a year of significant growth at CircleUp, with more than $100M currently available for investment on the platform.

Currently COO and CMO at Lending Club, the world's largest online marketplace connecting borrowers and investors. Sanborn was previously the chief marketing and revenue officer for eHealthInsurance, a publicly traded ecommerce company. He has also held senior leadership roles at RedEnvelope, Inc., an e-commerce and catalog retailer of upscale gifts.

David Krane of Google Ventures and David Topper of General Atlantic are board observers.
