Circle of Light Festival: Call for Art Vision Competition Open

The call for Art Vision Projection Mapping and VJing Competition being a part of the Circle of Light Moscow International Festival has been opened.

This year the Competition will be run in three Nominations: ART VISION Classic, ART VISION Modern and ART VISION VJing.
The Venue for ART VISION Classic Competition will be Bolshoi Theatre which is one of the state biggest and world most significant opera and ballet theatres.
Contestants will demonstrate their skills in 2D and 3D projections on the theatre building considering its geometry and positioning.
Entry works to ART VISION Modern Competition will be shown on the facade of Pavilion 1 from the side of the Friendship of Nations Fountain at VDNH Exhibition Site which is the second biggest exhibition venue in Moscow and one of the 50 biggest in the world.
There, at VDNH Site, but on the facade of Pavilion 32 VJs will play their 10 minute VJ sets - prepared video content with a background music track - to compete in ART VISION VJing Competition.
With each year ART VISION is attracting more and more Russian and International contestants among whom are creative teams, studios, students and professionals.
In 2014 more than 70 teams from over 20 countries entered the Competition.
Entry works will be judged by an International jury consisting of designers and multimedia artists.
The Competition can be entered until July 1st, 2015.
BRIEF BACKGROUND:
The Circle of Light Moscow International Festival is an annual event at which light designers and 2D and 3D graphic designers utilize the urban space of Moscow as canvas for multimedia and light installations. The organizer of the Festival is the Department of Mass Media and Advertising of the City of Moscow. For the Circle of Light Festival Russian and international designers and artists produce light and multimedia shows, creating projection mapping on the facades of the most notable buildings, cultural monuments and other facilities in Moscow as well as integrate their creative ideas into the architecture of the city. Entrance to any Festival venue is free.
This edition of the Circle of Light will become the biggest in terms of the quantity and total power output of projectors to be used. Besides this year the Festival will celebrate its 5th anniversary. http://lightfest.ru/
