DALLAS, Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cinergy Entertainment, a movie company specializing in family entertainment, announced that they will donate a percentage of all sales from all locations on September 8th, 2017 to the relief effort in Houston for Hurricane Harvey. Cinergy Cinemas is partnering with the United Way of Greater Houston Hurricane Relief Fund.
Cinergy Entertainment CEO and Executive Vice President Jeff and Jamie Benson released a joint statement saying, "Hurricane Harvey has had a tremendous effect on many families; but, through the destruction, Texas has come together to prove that we are all Texas Strong. We at Cinergy are happy to do our part and aid in the relief efforts of such a tragic natural disaster."
United Way of Greater Houston is a nonprofit that transforms lives by bringing long-lasting, systemic change to community issues such as family financial stability, education, and the quality of life for returning veterans. After the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, they have launched the United Way Relief Fund to help with storm-related needs and recovery in the community. 100% of gift contributions to the Relief Fund goes to help those in the community recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
This weekend, Stephen King's "IT" premiers Friday with a projected box office opening of 60 million.
