Cindy Farkus Joins Camber Corporation as new VP and Director of Maryland Operations

CENTREVILLE, Va., Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Camber Corporation is proud to welcome Ms. Cindy Farkus as the new Vice President and Director of Maryland Operations and Deputy of the National Intelligence and Special Operations Division. Ms. Farkus brings over 35 years of national security experience, specifically in intelligence analysis and homeland security. Ms. Farkus has extensive experience guiding and directing the establishment of new organizations, providing intelligence support to strategic and military operations, and expertly supporting crisis management, information sharing, international relations, and cyber security efforts.

Camber Corporation's Maryland Operations currently provides intelligence and language analysts, systems engineers and integrators, and subject matter experts to critical mission areas throughout the Intelligence Community enterprise. As the Deputy of the National Intelligence and Special Operations Division, she will assist the Division Manager in developing the organization across the Maryland, Virginia and Tampa Operations. She is responsible for expanding the customer base, identifying new markets and skill sets, recruiting highly-qualified personnel, and identifying potential industry partners and teammates.

Ms. Farkus began her career in the Intelligence Community as a Russian Linguist and Analyst while serving in the United States Air Force. Her positions included: Assistant Deputy Director for Analysis & Production for the National Security Agency; Chief of Staff at NSA/CSS Texas in San Antonio; Senior U.S. Liaison Officer in Ottawa, Canada;  Executive Assistant to General Michael V. Hayden during his tour as the Director of the NSA; Assistant Secretary at the Office of International Affairs for the Department of Homeland Security; Assistant Administrator for the Office of Global Strategies and the Office of Intelligence for the Transportation Security Agency; Executive Advisor to the U.S. Under Secretary of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security; and most recently, Managing Director for the Chertoff Group, a Washington DC-based security consulting firm founded by former Homeland Security Secretary, Michael Chertoff. Ms. Farkus is a recipient of the Meritorious Presidential Executive Rank Award and two Meritorious Civilian Awards.
