CINDE Announces: 3M Inaugurates New Global Service Center in San Jose, Costa Rica
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. based company 3M, opened today a new Global Service Center (GSC) in Costa Rica, increasing the company's presence in the country. 3M GSC Costa Rica, along with two other centers in the Philippines and Poland, will support the company's internal operations.
Attendees at the opening today included the President of the Republic, Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera; Jhon Fonseca, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade; Luis Gamboa, President of Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE); Julie Bushman, Senior Vice President of Business Transformation and Information Technology; and Ivan Rivera, General Manager of 3M GSC, Costa Rica.
The GSC in Costa Rica will focus on providing services in finance, human resources and information technology, standardization and optimization of processes, data utilization and improved services.
The choice establishing this services center in Costa Rica was based on strategic advantages such as qualified human talent and trajectory of the country in the services sector.

With this new opening, 3M hopes to reinforce its operations based on process integration, efficiency and dynamism, enabling excellence in their services.
