Cinch™ and Red Cross partner to raise disaster relief funds
Cinch will make a 50% charitable donation to the Red Cross from each customized blood panel purchased
SPOKANE, Wash., May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Red Cross and Cinch are teaming up to increase awareness of heart disease risk and raise funds for the disaster relief organization. Individuals may go to Cinch's direct-access laboratory testing website (www.gocinch.com) to order customized blood tests for cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and complete blood counts. With each test ordered, Cinch will donate 50% of the proceeds to the American Red Cross. Three customized blood test options are available: Complete Blood Count, a Cardiac Lipid / Cholesterol Panel, and a comprehensive Cardiac Risk Panel. These tests provide wellness information and help determine if an individual is at risk for heart disease.
The American Red Cross is the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the U.S. It also responds to nearly 70,000 disasters in the United States annually. The Red Cross exists to provide disaster relief and relies on blood and monetary donations to help meet the growing demand domestically and internationally. Funds raised through this campaign will help ensure that the Red Cross is ready to respond when disaster strikes.
Cinch, provided by PAML, one of the premiere reference laboratories in the nation, has developed convenient online ordering and reporting options empowering individuals to have more control over their health. For consumers who are uninsured, under-insured, or have health insurance with high yearly deductibles, Cinch allows these individuals to keep a close eye on their health and save money. Cinch's website makes it possible for consumers to order high quality laboratory tests, experience a simplified sample collection process, and securely receive easy-to-understand test result reporting via the CinchView™ health dashboard at much more affordable prices, and without the additional time and expense of a doctor's visit.
"We are very excited to be working with the American Red Cross," said Francisco R. Velázquez, M.D., S.M., president and CEO of PAML, LLC and PAML Ventures. "Through this partnership, Cinch is able to provide members of our community with more immediate, secure access to cardiac testing and simultaneously contribute to the Red Cross."
