Cimatron Solving Canadian Die Shop Needs
Cimatron's DieDesign solution to feature at FabTech Canada, Toronto, March 20-22, 2012
GIVAT SHMUEL, Israel, March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Cimatron Limited (NASDAQ and TASE: CIMT) has announced that it will be featuring its integrated CimatronE DieDesign solution at the FabTech Canada trade show.
"With hundreds of customers across Canada, our CimatronE integrated CAD/CAM solution remains front and center in meeting Canadian tool shops' evolving needs," said Mr. Bill Gibbs, Cimatron's President North America.
Designed with the die maker in mind, the integrated CimatronE DieDesign software handles all types of die production, no matter the die type or the level of complexity involved. It covers all steps in the production process, from quoting to design, machining, and wire EDM.
Key features of the software include:
- DieQuote generator - quick quote generation by automatically retrieving information from the CimatronE strip design and merging it with cost information set by the user. Includes a database for storing and retrieving detailed customer information, including previous quotes.
- Die design - data import from a large variety of standard and native formats; blank design and forming with automated blank calculation, springback compensation and finite element analysis tools; a dedicated strip design environment; die tool design with applicative tools for creating trimming and forming punches; a wide variety of catalog parts; collision detection and motion analysis; and drafting.
- NC and Wire EDM programming - built-in CAD functionality; background toolpath calculations; efficient roughing; high quality finishing; 5-axis capabilities; plate machining and drilling; a rich library of post-processors; and NC Setup and tool table reports.
The most recent version of CimatronE DieDesign includes notable enhancements such as a new "insert forming shape" feature that creates a far more flexible strip design process, allowing users to insert additional forming shapes (stations) at any point during design, while maintaining complete associativity. There is also faster, more automated trimming punch creation, and the system now supports split matrixes (used to simplify the manufacturing process) and several new types of fasteners.
"Our CimatronE DieDesign solution is a surefire way to boost your shop's productivity levels while ensuring a high level of product quality and reliability, and I invite anyone considering attending FabTech Canada to check out our booth and see how powerful a solution CimatronE really is," said Mr. Gibbs.
The Cimatron display at FabTech Canada will be at booth #1234.
