COPPELL, Texas, Aug. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CiCi's Pizza kicks off its first national partnership with Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign by participating in the nonprofit's annual month-long restaurant industry fundraiser this September.

About 20 percent of all U.S. children struggle with hunger. The No Kid Hungry campaign connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals.

"CiCi's gives back to its communities locally throughout the nation, but this is our first time joining hands nationally to help families and children everywhere."
CiCi's guests can join the effort in several ways throughout the month. CiCi's will make a donation for every 32-oz. beverage sold in September, pledging a minimum $25,000 donation to the No Kid Hungry campaign. Additionally, various participating CiCi's Pizza locations across the country will celebrate with "Go Orange for No Kid Hungry Days," on which restaurants will accept guest donations to the No Kid Hungry campaign.
CiCi's will also use Instagram and Facebook campaigns to highlight the fundraiser. Guests can post photos or videos of their 32 oz. CiCi's cups, screenshots of their online pledges, or photos of themselves creating a poster for No Kid Hungry or wearing orange – the signature color of No Kid Hungry. Instagram users can tag their photos and videos with @CiCisPIZZA, #CiCisNoKidHungry and #NoKidHungry. CiCi's will select weekly winners and donate $25 to No Kid Hungry in each winner's name.
To encourage people to come in and get involved, CiCi's is offering its endless pizza, pasta, soup, salad and dessert buffet for just $5 through September at participating restaurants.
